My experience with for-profits colleges and the demise of ITT

Yeah I worked for them…you know the for-profit colleges there was Westwood College, ICDC, Devry, ITT oh and the for profit model that led the digital diploma mill pack: the University of Phoenix. For test purposes I was employed on an adjunct basis by Westwood College, followed by ICDC College but some times I reminisce about my time at those colleges the impact of being employed in a for profit college I mean the people were not evil they were responding to an undereducated sector of the population that desperately wants to enter middle class dom. Reminds of the run up to the housing collapse in 2008.  From June 2004 to November 2008  I worked at Westwood College with the spin off Redstone College  I did my best to ensure the students received a legit education however I could not fathom students paying I don’t know in the tens of thousands for degrees of dubious value. Some of my former students regret having attended for-profit colleges with empty promises and deep in student loan debt.
