Man you don’t need a designer degree with student loan debt to make it in America. Americans riding the college degree propaganda herd believing a piece of paper qualified you for employment or an entrepreneurial venture. Now American companies are dropping the college degree requirement for employment of course better to train and mold a young impressionable person who may give years of high quality service to your organization over a brainwashed leftist college degreed drone with no skills except as a mediocre public activist. Instead of lifetime employment offer lifetime skills and training to keep Americans employable wherever they go in life. I hear alot about so-called “equity” well the fastest path to improve a person’s status is remove the college degree requirement. I say that having three cheap college degrees with skill based certificates that saved my overeducated ass. Look at the protests going on at expensive ivy league colleges these people will be unemployable meaning America will require need, those with valuable in-demand skills instead of over-hyped ivy league style liberal arts activists degrees. Current employment data presents 50% of college graduates are underemployed working in fields that do NOT require a college degree.
Then you have this story in Reason about 66% of college degrees are a waste of time. No wonder the underemployment figure is high close to 50% of college graduates are not employed in their field of study what a Racket! Universities packed with left-wing anti-american faculty who then produce useless idiots. People with no tangible applicable skills like my late father would say “practical” that can create wealth, prosperity that leads to a virtuous society better than Finland, Norway, or Western European Welfare state. Thousands of vacant positions in the trades, career technical education that pay above average salaries minus the massive student loan debt no headache lifestyle. I mean I graduated with three cheap college degrees like zero student loan only when I returned for my California teacher credential completing student teaching in-person at Bell High School in LAUSD did I take out student loans about $20,000 but have not repaid my student loan since I want to apply for student loan forgiveness as a public school educator. I am grateful for my education however I did major in two low-paying college degrees one in education albeit with a minor in education technology. Same goes for my teacher certificates all three have the word computer or technology.
