CTE to the Rescue

March 8, 2018 NCH Leave a Comment

Some of my memorable classes were electronics, woodshop, small engines, machine shop being engaging learning by doing that was termed vocational education today that is known as Career Technical Education.

Skills to pay bills

Student portrayed in WSJ story decides to break the college going herd and pursue a career technical education career that will most likely lead to a full-time career minus the career crushing student loan debt.  Currently the USA is undergoing a skills shortfall where there are more jobs that require skills such as in technology my favorite career choice or healthcare, manufacturing another favorite on my list of shrewd selections is entrepreneurship such as Art Lewin in sunny Beverly Hills. Mike Rowe of Dirty Jobs  has a lengthy list of dirty jobs that require skills over liberal arts college degrees that leave you in student loan debt depression.
