I think that nowadays, typing skills is a requirement if not a necessity in our rapidly globalizing world. School requires that you need to type out assignments, and typing 10 words per minute would take hours for one to type out an assignment. Jobs require you to type our reports, enter data, and even write press releases. Typing skills are extremely important, and something that was not seen as necessary a few years ago is now a survival tool that one must have in the job market.
