College works for the Good Student

I was not the best student in college since I received an industrial level education that required arithmetic reading and writing skills that was it. When I arrived at my local community college the courses were free but I needed high level academic skills to succeed in a college class yeah I went through remedial english and math classes however my point is should we encourage those who do not want college but desire essential survival skills-“dirty jobs” there is such a thing as booksmart not streetsmart according to recent WSJ research carefully weigh the college degree versus other options; a skilled trade, vocation or technology certification such as COMPTIA
