For Blacks and Latinos to graduate into the middle-class and upper-middle-class we need to be guided into STEM related careers.
I knew that rigorous college majors could leave students in debt, and now I have learned that mediocre majors could leave people in debt from not making an ample sized salary to pay it off. It’s disheartening to be reminded of the drastic decrease in the pay grades between minorities and Caucasian men. Also, women are paid significantly less, especially women of color.
